1:1 Vocal Coaching
"The voice is the muscle of the soul."
— Alfred Wolfsohn
I use a holistic approach to help you find, strengthen, and express your voice because I know it as both an instrument and a way of knowing ourselves.
My work weaves together the technical and the intuitive: classical vocal pedagogy with somatic awareness, musical literacy with devotional practice, and structured exercises with creative exploration.
What we explore will always be shaped by your own goals, experience, and intentions. We might spend a session nerding out about vocal technique, writing harmonies, working through a song, moving and sounding, or following an emergent creative thread.
We might be a good fit if…
If you have choral or classical experience, but feel blocked creatively and want to find your unique sound.
If you’re ready to move beyond performing with a “good voice” and discover your own voice.
If you’re drawn to using your voice as a tool for self-discovery, healing, devotion, or transformation.
If you want to sing in harmony, lead others in song, or feel more confident sharing your voice in community and ceremony.
If you love to make music but struggle with pitch, harmony, or trusting your ear, and want to develop a deeper internal sense of confidence.
If you sense that there is more sound inside you that you don’t know how to access.
If you’re looking for a teacher who holds both technical rigor and embodied exploration.
If you’re curious about improvisation, vocal exploration, chanting, or singing beyond the confines of a song.
Things we might explore…
Somatic Connection,
Voice, & Breath
Strengthening breath support (appoggio) — the foundation of a free, supported voice
Developing vocal range, flexibility, strength, clarity, and resonance
Building interoception — sensitivity to body sensations, breath, and voice
Exploring movement, body scanning, breathwork, and vocal activation
Releasing patterns of tension or inhibition that may affect the voice
Somatic processing, when desired, to explore the emotional or energetic dimensions of the voice
Ear Training, Harmony, & Musical Literacy
Developing internal pitch memory and the ability to sing accurately without an instrument
Learning scales, intervals, and solfège
Understanding keys and finding the right key for your voice
Developing harmony skills — including the ability to hear and sing different parts
Somatic and meditative practices for feeling pitch rather than only thinking about it
Improvising melodies and harmonies over a drone
Creativity, Expression, & Devotion
Developing expressive intuition and emotional freedom in singing
Refining musicality through phrasing, dynamics, articulation, and interpretation
Exploring improvisation (musical and lyrical)
Songwriting and creative practice
Bhakti Yoga — the practice of devotional singing
Meditation, chanting, and breathwork
Opening and deepening the channel for spiritual connection
