Welcome,
kindred spirit!
I’m Lou, a singer, choral director, somatic coach, facilitator, songwriter, medicine woman, and yogi who followed her soul to California from Appalachia in 2020.
I’m interested in the voice as portal, the voice as guru: the breath that carries it, the body that holds it, the communities that nurture it. The moments when it opens easily and the moments when it won’t come at all.
These curiosities led me to explore the intersections of somatics, vocal expression, grief work, and spiritual devotion. So much of our wisdom and humanity lives in our voices. I work with that alchemical potential.
People come to me for all kinds of reasons. Some want to develop their vocal technique and receive classical training. Some feel blocked and want to express more freely. Some just hear a small voice that whispers, “come home to yourself.”
What I offer is a space to slow down and listen closely. Gently. Intuitively. From there, we discover the deeper undercurrents where soul speaks.

I weave together varied areas of experience and tailor them to meet the needs of each unique individual.
I incorporate classical vocal technique, somatic therapy, Bhakti (devotional) yoga, songwriting, song catching, meditation, dream work, medicine music, and breathwork to set you on your distinctive path.

My soul arrived here ready to sing. I caught my first song when I was three years old, living in an old coal mining ghost town in southern West Virginia. It was called, “I can’t pray without you in my heart.”
I heard a choir for the first time at the age of 14 when I moved to Virginia. I had never heard humans sound like angels. I knew I needed to be a part of it. I sensed it could change the world because it could move hearts.
I fell in love with choir, performing, writing music, and directing shows in high school. I studied music education because I wanted to create spaces where people could express themselves freely and safely.
My time in music conservatory made me a skilled professional, but injured my creativity and caused me to disassociate from my body. (Classic.)
In the 7 years since, spirit has led me through a journey of healing, experimenting, inquiring, traveling, changing course, failing, and re-membering.
I’m currently interested in the intersections of somatics, singing, community, grief work, soul craft, parts work, and spiritual devotion. I am honored to guide people as they step more fully into their wholeness through their physical, emotional, and spiritual experience.
