Our Story
I co-founded the Expressions Choir, which is a non-traditional adult community choir in the East Bay. We created it because we love to sing and longed for a space to sing in community. What started as a gathering of music lovers quickly became a vibrant home for connection, creativity, and self-expression.
Expressions welcomed singers of all backgrounds and experience levels—no sheet music or formal training required. Its repertoire reflected that spirit, blending folk, gospel, classical, indie, R&B, pop, and everything in between. More than a choir, Expressions became a place where people could find their voice, share it boldly, and make something beautiful together.
